Radiation Therapy

Radiation therapy uses high-energy radiation (1000 times more powerful than a standard chest X-ray) to kill cancer cells and prevent them from spreading. The cancer cells are much more susceptible to damage during the course of radiation treatment than normal, healthy cells.

There are many different ways that radiation therapy can be delivered including:
